Mrs. Gulley was raised on a farm in rural Nebraska, and eventually found her way to Lincoln to study English and Psychology, and enjoy Husker football games at Memorial Stadium. Mrs. Gulley earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2004. While at OU, Ms. Gulley worked at the State of Oklahoma's Office of Special Education Due Process, where she recruited, researched for, and trained with Oklahoma hearing and appeal officers. She also served as the man-aging editor of the American Indian Law Review, served as a mentor to first year law students, co-chaired OU Law's Mentor Program during her third year, and participated in the college's study-abroad program at Ox-ford University.
While at the Underwood Law Firm, Mrs. Gulley has been recognized as a "Texas Rising Star" every year from 2007 to 2014. She also has served as the president, vice-president and secretary of the Amarillo Education Foundation, and served as a United Way Loaned Executive.
Currently, Mrs. Gulley is in the Leadership Texas Class of 2012; is a Board member and volunteer for the Texas Panhandle Pet Savers, a non-profit group that rescues dogs and cats from the local euthanasia list; is a Director for the Amarillo Bar Association; is a committee member for the University of Texas CLE Education Law Section; is a member of the Amarillo Area Women's Forum, serving as the publicity chair; and is the Underwood Law Firm's Employment Law Section Leader.
