Firm Overview

Founding partners Neil Sullenberger and Jennifer Roskamp worked together for several years before breaking away to form their own firm, Sullenberger Roskamp PLLC in 2022.

The two wanted to operate an aggressive litigation firm without compromising on ethics. Unlike other firms, we only take clients we believe in with potential case outcomes that make the expenses of hiring a lawyer worth it to clients. We founded our practice on giving upfront and honest case evaluations, including costs to pursue a case to victory and what your best and worst outcomes could be so that you are fully informed in advance.

We are a firm of skilled advocates who have exceptional skills in the areas of civil litigation, business law, construction law, general money disputes, trial practices, arbitration, and mediation, among others.

Business

Representing clients with respect to business breakups/partnership disputes, derivative actions, contract disputes, and general business representation.

The firm's business practice area is 100% litigation. We only occasionally handle organizational and transactional matters for our business clients.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Complete information is key. While it's always helpful to contact a lawyer early, we often don't have all the information required to make an assessment. Our firm provides the legal assessment and prides itself on the number of clients it declines to sign until the client has a full picture of the costs and benefits of pursuing litigation. A client must be informed of all potential avenues and have a sense of the realistic value of their case before they sign with a lawyer.

Sullenberger Roskamp PLLC
Neil Sullenberger

As a named equity partner at his former firm, Neil proved to be a valuable asset and relentless litigator. Neil possesses innate courtroom skills and employs a common sense approach to excel before juries and courts alike. He litigates in all of the firm's practice areas, focusing mainly on business disputes and construction defect cases.

Neil is originally from the "City of Champions" - Pittsburgh, PA. While no city can compare to his hometown for sports, he moved to Denver for the mountains and all of their associated activities. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, hunting, fishing, camping and playing sports in a few of Denver's intramural leagues.

He received his Juris Doctor with two academic emphases in corporate and commercial law from Michigan State University College of Law in East Lansing, MI. He was also a member of the Michigan State Law Review, where he honed his legal research and writing skills. Neil also spent a full year as a clinician with the Alvin L. Storrs Tax Clinic, negotiating with and frequently winning his positions against the IRS and state-level tax agencies. His undergraduate degree is from Washington & Jefferson College, a small school just south of Pittsburgh. At W&J, he earned a B.A. in Economics, with an emphasis in Financial Economics and a minor in Mathematics.

Neil utilizes his tailored training in corporate law, commercial law, and finance to competently advise the firm's clients in various types of business disputes. His background affords him a unique ability to advise clients about often unforeseen consequences of their decisions from both a legal and business standpoint.

As a pragmatist, he seeks to avoid expanding litigation unnecessarily, streamlines all of his cases, and tries only the operative claims to avoid additional expenses to the client. Neil enjoys continued success trying cases with his partner, Jennifer Roskamp.

Jennifer Roskamp

Jennifer has been working closely with Neil since 2018. She is originally from a small beach town in Orange County, California.

She earned a Bachelors of Science in Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. After surviving the Chicago winters, she moved to Denver, Colorado to enjoy the mountains and all the outdoor activities this wonderful city has to offer.

Jenn is the heart and soul of the firm, expertly managing a heavy case load across all of the firm's practice areas. She is always incredibly organized, which puts her adversaries at a significant disadvantage. Her communication and negotiation skills with clients, opposing counsel, and opposing parties are unmatched. Compound her ability to accomplish favorable settlements with a tenacious, never-back-down attitude in litigation, and Jenn is a daunting adversary you would rather have on your side than against you.

Michael Gubiotti

Michael worked with Neil and Jenn at Abrams, Sullenberger & Associates as the firm's litigation paralegal, office manager, and, eventually, associate attorney. Michael has been a licensed attorney in Illinois since 2015, beginning his legal career as associate insurance defense counsel in personal injury and civil litigation cases in Chicago. The legal training and litigation experience he obtained in Illinois are invaluable and formed him into the litigator he is today.

Michael passed the Colorado bar in 2021, and immediately engaged with clients. He is passionate and talented in alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation, an area he earned several distinctions in during law school.

Michael received his Juris Doctor with an academic emphasis in child and family law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in Chicago, IL. He received a Cali excellence award for his legal writing and oral argument skills for appellate motions. He was also a member of the Children's Legal Rights Journal, where he was published for his opposing viewpoints article. Michael spent a half year as a clinician with the Civitas Child Law Clinic, working with prominent Chicago child law attorneys, judges, and advocates to draft legislation clarifying ambiguities in the juvenile criminal statutes. His undergraduate degree is from California State University, San Bernardino. At CSUSB, he earned a B.A. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management.

Michael is originally from the "City of Angels" - Los Angeles, CA. While a city boy at heart, he moved to Denver for a mix of city and nature. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, nature hikes, gaming, and is a foodie for all Denver has to offer.
