Paul J. Manion

Paul J. Manion is one of the co-founding partners and current president of the Firm. He is an experienced trial attorney specializing in the areas of medical, dental, legal and pharmaceutical malpractice defense.

In addition, Mr. Manion has an active and successful civil litigation practice defending corporations, business owners and individuals in complex litigation, commercial disputes, premises liability, product liability, construction liability and indemnity, trucking and transportation litigation, employment discrimination, and other general civil claims.

Mr. Manion is a member of the the State Bar of Michigan, Defense Research Institute, the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel and the Association of Defense Trial Counsel. Anthony J. Calati

Anthony J. Calati is an experienced litigation and trial attorney and heads the firm's mass tort section. He is also the firm's technology director and has used that expertise to develop fluid databases necessary for litigating mass tort claims.

Mr. Calati is national coordinating counsel for multiple defendants in asbestos litigation and was instrumental in developing factual and liability defenses for pump and plumbing product manufacturers.

In addition to his activities as national counsel in asbestos litigation, he regularly defends professional liability claims involving civil engineers, architects, surveyors and appraisers, general liability claims, construction defects (mold, lead) and trucking accidents. He has lectured on successor corporate liability and the application and implementation of defenses available under the Michigan Product Liability Act in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

Mr. Manion is a past Chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan Negligence Section and Officer of the Association of Defense Trial Counsel.
