Firm Overview

The focus of estate planning is to anticipate problems that may come from your future decline, disability, or death and have good solutions for those problems. The most important part of estate planning is taking time for understanding your full situation and wishes. We need to assess what are the most important assets you need to protect. We need to find out who you want your assets to go to and what are the best ways of transferring that wealth. We need to find out what the greatest risks to those assets might be. We need to figure out a plan for minimizing those risks. We want to figure out the best ways to minimize probate, income taxes, property taxes, and estate taxes. We need to figure out the best ways to transition the management of your estate to competent people who can be trusted.

Estate Planning

Peter A. Wallis is an attorney and counselor at law who focuses on estate planning issues. This generally involves different types of trusts and wills along with other documents to preserve wealth through death and disability.

Peter A. Wallis, attorney and counselor at law serves all of California. He offers a free initial consultation in office, by video, phone, or in-home consultation. The main focus of the practice is estate planning but also does mediation. This is a purpose driven practice to help people preserve their wealth over generations.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I want to help you do estate planning because it seems to be one of the most just and cost-effective ways I can do good and help people as an attorney and counselor at law.

For much less than one percent of your net worth, I can help you to preserve, grow and efficiently utilize the other 99% of your wealth for your entire life, then the lives of your loved ones, and then the lives of others for generations to come.

I can help you protect your wealth if your loved ones become disabled or die. I can help by reviewing your situation and discussing the several different types of trusts and trust provisions we can use. I can help you in selecting the best trustees and advisors. I can help you to avoid the costs, complications, delays, and frustrations of probate courts. I can help you find estate planning strategies to minimize taxes.

Whether your estate is worth $1,000 or $10,000,000, you have value and you should have a well thought-out estate plan. You owe it to yourself, your loved ones, and generations to come. I look forward to helping you do just that.
