How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Criminal Defense and DWI | DUI Defense comes natural to David Dischley considering he has been in the business of protecting people for over 20 years. David began his public service life enlisting in the Marine Corps at the age of 17. Throughout that experience, he not only learned how to protect his country but came skilled at protecting his fellow Marines by providing advice for them in administrative/disciplinary actions. After his time in the Marine Corps, David worked for the Department of State as a Uniformed Protective Officer and later in the intelligence community. In both of these positions, David was determined to protect all U.S. persons with the Country's diplomatic and intelligence missions.

As a prosecutor, David championed victim's rights and goals through the prosecution of serious criminal cases; fighting relentlessly for the goals of the Victim.

When entering private practice, it only made sense to continue to protect individuals facing the most challenging and detrimental problems of his or her life. David understands what is on the line for individuals charged with criminal offenses and has the experience to best help you solve/mitigate those issues. .

He worked on high-profile cases including the Fort Totten Metro Crash litigation and developed a passion for helping people who had been injured through the negligence of others.

Sean has served on the board of the Foundation of the Alexandria Bar Association since 2014, and was elected Treasurer in 2018. He was a member of the Alexandria Community Gang Taskforce and the Alexandria Domestic Violence Intervention Program. Sean routinely serves as a guest lecturer at law school courses on Ethics for Trial Lawyers and Litigation Skills, and has presented at numerous career days where he shares his unique career experiences with students.

He spent his first summer clerking for the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, where he worked on special education cases and other civil litigation. Sean spent his second summer in law school clerking for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, Crime and Drugs Subcommittee. While clerking for the Committee, Sean worked on the Fair Sentencing Act of 2010, which reduced the federal sentencing disparity for crack vs. powder cocaine. He also worked on the nomination hearings for Associate Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan. In his third year, Sean interned at the Office of the State’s Attorney for Anne Arundel County, Maryland, where he was able to prosecute misdemeanors cases using his third-year practic certificate.

Sean is a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a BA in Political Science. While at Penn State, Sean made Dean’s List and was active in the student government. He also volunteered his time as a student advocate for Penn State Legal Affairs, where he helped defend students charged with violating the university’s student conduct regulations, and first became interested in the law.

David began his public service life enlisting in the Marine Corps at the age of 17. Throughout that experience, he not only learned how to protect his country but came skilled at protecting his fellow Marines by providing advice for them in administrative/disciplinary actions. After his time in the Marine Corps, David worked for the Department of State as a Uniformed Protective Officer and later in the intelligence community. In both of these positions, David was determined to protect all U.S. persons with the Country's diplomatic and intelligence missions.

As a prosecutor, David championed victim's rights and goals through the prosecution of serious criminal cases; fighting relentlessly for the goals of the Victim.
