In our efforts to reflect the values and principles that are important to our clients, we straight out asked them, what makes a good attorney? Of course, honesty, trustworthy, and aggressive were at the top of the list, but our clients did not stop there. They also told us what they didn't like about lawyers in general.

Kaitlin Allen is originally from Fort Worth, Texas but moved to Oklahoma City when she was in high school. She has strong ties to Oklahoma, with family in Duncan, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa.
Kaitlin obtained a bachelor's degree in Public Relations with a minor in Spanish from Oklahoma Christian University. She graduated from law school at Oklahoma City University in 2020. She is a second-generation OCU Law graduate. While in law school, Kaitlin completed more than five internships at law firms, corporations, and government offices. As a law student licensed legal intern in the Public Defender's Office, she represented a client at jury trial and secured a not guilty verdict on the primary charge.
After law school, Kaitlin worked in the Oklahoma County Public Defender's office for more than 3 years. As a public defender, Kaitlin represented hundreds of clients charged with all types of crimes, ranging from misdemeanors to first degree murder.
Being a public defender trained her to be a courtroom attorney. She was appointed to anywhere from 60 to 100 cases at a time, which means she has done more preliminary hearings, probation revocation hearings, and bond hearings than she can count. She is an experienced litigator who has successfully acquitted many criminal defendants at jury trial. While she loves being in front of judges and juries, she also has extensive experience negotiating with prosecutors to obtain dismissals and reach favorable plea deals in criminal cases.
Kaitlin's husband, Mitchel, is an attorney in Midwest City. They have two little boys, who they hope will continue the family tradition and grow up to be lawyers, as well.

Braden developed an interest in real estate law and began his legal career writing title opinions and title abstracts. Today, Braden works to help buyers and sellers of real estate experience trouble-free real estate transactions by ensuring that all parties –including real estate agents – complete all necessary legal requirements to protect his client’s interests.

While pursuing his undergraduate degree in marketing at the University of Central Oklahoma, he received the prestigious Top Central Man for outstanding leadership and accomplishments, awarded to only 1 student each year. He received his JD/MBA from the University of Oklahoma in 2021.
Having been involved with international students throughout his academic years and being one himself, he developed a deep passion for learning immigration law to help others worldwide realize their dreams of coming to live and work in America. As a result, he resisted the idea of following the conventional employment route for graduate attorneys, which is to join an established law firm as a junior attorney.
Instead, Jimmy founded Lai & Turner Law Firm when his great friend and fellow law student, Braden Turner, echoed his vision to go directly into practice. Jimmys vision was to establish a practice to do law differently and to inspire the next generation of immigrants to follow their dreams, The American Dream of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Established in 2022, Lai & Turner has quickly grown to offer additional legal services based on client demand. In rapid succession, Lai & Turner added Estate Planning, Criminal Defense, Real Estate Law, Personal Injury, and more. And to handle the rapid growth, Lai & Turner quickly added additional Of Counsel attorneys to the team.
As managing attorney of the firm, Jimmy's job is to ensure that every client receives the best representation possible and that our staff and associates adhere to the firm's core values and principles when providing legal services.
