Wichita native Jonathan W. McConnell founded his own namesake law firm in 2014, quickly becoming well-known for his work vigorously defending clients with charges ranging from traffic violations to serious crimes. Located on the first floor of the landmark Scottish Rite Temple in downtown Wichita, the practice was rebranded in 2017 as the McConnell Law Firm, which is comprised of two additional attorneys and three staff members.
Today, Jon combines expert knowledge and unmatched tenacity to lead his practice in defending the rights of clients. Jon describes his approach as aggressive and "outside the box," utilizing a fresh and modern approach.

Jonathan recently received advanced level training, from the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, on How to Beat a Radar Enforced DUI/Traffic Stop. Jonathan received training on how to try the radar machine. The training included Pre-trial Motions, Jury Selection, Opening Statement, the Testimony of the Peace Officer, Cross-Examination, where to incorporate 3 drawings, and the Closing Argument. This training was developed by George Long, an Executive Member of the Association, whose office is located in Odessa, Texas.
