What are your firm's strengths and style?

When handling divorce issues, these subjects are sensitive as most clients feel the world they know is crashing around them and the issues are personal with a wide range of emotions. I have personally been through divorce and know how it impacted me. The emotions i had and carried was my drive to go to law school. I want to help those going through divorce to navigate and try and add calm to the situation. I would like all divorces to be amicable and the parties be able to have a good relationship going forward. However, sometimes that is not possible and I want to provide good sound legal advice and support to achieve the best outcome possible. I believe in staying focused on reasonable expectations and managing those expectations to give the client the best opportunity of success if we have to litigate the case. By staying focused, this tends to lower the costs to the clients and focus resources where needed.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

As mentioned earlier, I have been through divorce and understand the emotions of children, changes in lifestyle, changes in income, and the helplessness that can be experienced in the process. I used that as fuel to go to law school and become a lawyer. I remember when I finally got to take Family Law in school and was excited. i want to assist my clients with that same passion and try to provide calm to an emotional process. This also led to my slogan of "Trust the H". When you are feeling lost or that there is no end I will be there to assist you and let you know that you will be "ok" and I am there to help. All lives of a family are impacted in divorce and I believe, as an attorney, I can help mitigate some of the impact by my personal experience.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

I am a solo practitioner and try to limit overhead and costs in order to keep rates affordable to clients. Lets face it, legal battles can get expensive. I do everything I can to keep the costs down by focusing the clients on expectation management that is realistic and achievable. I take fewer clients so I can maintain a good balance and availability to my clients. These keys allow me to provide responsive services and a reasonable rate.
