I am a passionate immigration attorney and proud son of immigrants. I am dedicated to reuniting families and advocating for immigrant rights.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I am the son of immigrants, so I know the harsh realities clients face daily. As a kid, I saw how someone’s immigration status can affect many aspects of their life, which led me to practice immigration law. I have first-hand knowledge of how someone’s immigration status affects them and their whole family. It is my passion to help immigrants adjust their status in this country so they do not feel alienated or fear that they can subjected to deportation at any moment. I decided to go to law school to educate the community on their different options to get legal status in the country. Growing up, I saw my family split between two countries because of the border. Because of their legal status, family members know they may never see their brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and cousins in person again. My goal is to help everyone have an opportunity to be able to reconnect with their family members and feel safe in this country.

I received my undergraduate degree in Sociology at California State University, Northridge. While in college, I learned how underrepresented the Latino population is in the legal field. That statistic motivated me to attend law school and help others do the same. I studied at the University of La Verne College of Law. While I attended the University of La Verne, I volunteered at the Immigration and Justice Immigration Clinic, where I helped refugees apply for asylum in Immigration Court. I was able to help immigrants get their asylum applications granted successfully. I am admitted to the State Bar of California. I have practiced at multiple immigration law firms and gained experience in all aspects of immigration law, such as USCIS and immigration court (EOIR). Besides practicing immigration law, my passion is educating, mentoring, and helping people reach their goals.

I have personally navigated the U.S. immigration system as an immigrant myself and have successfully assisted numerous individuals in securing U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, waiver approvals, and the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status processes, among many other representations before EOIR and USCIS. This experience deeply informs my professional approach, fueling my passion for providing pragmatic legal assistance to those navigating immigration matters.

My educational background includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from UCLA, where I was awarded the Dean’s Tuition Fellowship, a Master's degree in Laws, Economics, and Management from Université Lumière Lyon II (France), and a Bachelor of Laws from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). I am admitted to practice law in both the State Bar of California and the Colombian Bar Association.

I'm a dedicated attorney, proudly licensed to practice in Colombia and the State of New York. My journey in the legal field began in 2014, granting me nearly a decade's worth of experience navigating the intricacies of the legal system. While I have an international perspective, having collaborated with diverse individuals across various backgrounds, cultures, and professions, it's my personal story that sets the tone for my immigration-focused practice. As an immigrant who traversed the complex path to U.S. citizenship, I genuinely understand the emotions, challenges, and aspirations you are experiencing. I have successfully represented clients before USCIS and the EOIR in various processes including Asylum applications, cancellation of Removal proceedings, Special Juvenile Immigrant Status applications, Adjustment of Status applications, Naturalization applications, and many more.

I have a degree in Economics and a J.D. from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. After living and practicing law in Europe I came to the United States in 2016 and earned a Master of Laws at Columbia University.
