Alexis B. Diaz was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Mrs. Diaz attended the University of Miami for her undergraduate studies, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Spanish and Psychology. Mrs. Diaz then obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where she received Honors in Trusts and Estates. Mrs. Diaz continued her studies at the University of Miami School of Law and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Estate Planning, for which she received the Philip E. Heckerling Scholarship.
After law school, Mrs. Diaz worked as an Associate Attorney for three years providing sophisticated estate and tax planning, probate, guardianship and trust administration services to clients throughout South Florida. Mrs. Diaz continued her legal career as Second Vice President of the Estate Settlement Department at The Northern Trust Company, where she was a valuable member for over four years. In her time with The Northern Trust Company, Mrs. Diaz assisted clients and beneficiaries with Estate and Trust tax needs and was an asset to the Company.
Mrs. Diaz has since returned to private practice. She currently practices in the areas of Estate and Trust Administration and Estate Planning. She also has experience in litigation and real estate. Mrs. Diaz is fluent in English and Spanish.
