Most people I meet during an initial consultation are people that want to pay their bills, but they are losing sleep because they can't pay their bills, and they want to know their options.
From handling bankruptcy cases for over 16 years, the best approach for handling a debt problem is to look at all of your options and pick the one that's best for you. During an initial consultation, we look at various options for handling a debt problem, like debt management, debt settlement, and even doing nothing. We also look at how bankruptcy may apply to your situation.
If bankruptcy is best for you and your situation, I have a process for gathering the information and filing the case that is as efficient and streamlined as possible. The majority of my staff has been with me for over 10 years, and we work together to get your debt problems solved.
The practice of bankruptcy law found me, actually. I had been a briefing attorney for 2 federal judges for a total of five years. Normally, that is a temporary 1-year position. At the end of my tenure, I met a lawyer that introduced me to the practice of bankruptcy law. It seemed very interesting, so I opened my firm in February 2000.
I only represent individuals in Chapter 7 cases and Chapter 13 cases.
I have over 16 years of experience in handling consumer bankruptcy cases for over 7,000 clients.
I only recommend bankruptcy as a last resort.
There's a big difference between an attorney that recommends bankruptcy versus an attorney that only recommends bankruptcy as a last resort.
